Sports News: Bailey to be released, NHL lessens penalty on New Jersey Devils

The Denver Broncos will make one move that will possibly weaken their already suspect secondary and the NHL has come to a decision in regards to the New Jersey Devils.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Broncos will release cornerback Champ Bailey in a salary cap move.

The move will save Denver $10 million and end the 10 year run that Bailey had with the team since coming over in the Clinton Portis trade with the Washington Redskins in 2006.

Now on the hockey, in a move that will make Devil fans happy the NHL has reduced its penalty to the Devils, for the Ilya Kovalchuk salary cap circumvention back in 2010. New Jersey will retain its first round pick, picking 30th this year and will have their fine lessened according to ESPN.
