Brooklyn-Boston Blockbuster Deal

During the NBA draft on June 27th, the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics announced a blockbuster trade that could change the NBA landscape.

Boston fresh off trading head coach Doc Rivers to the Los Angeles Clippers for a 2015 first round draft pick as compensation. They have announced that they have agreed to trade Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Jason Terry to the Nets, in exchange for three first round draft picks in 2014, 2016 and 2018 and for players Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries, Kris Joseph, Keith Bogans and MarShon Brooks, to be completed on July 12th.

The deal would give Brooklyn a league first of five All-Stars at each position; Brook Lopez at center, Garnett at power forward, Pierce at small forward, Joe Johnson at shooting guard and Deron Williams as the point guard. Experts have been noted as saying that the Nets are now title contenders following this deal, also during the Draft Brooklyn took Duke’s Mason Plumlee with the 22nd pick in the 1st round.

    Awesome deal when it become official. Nets needed some toughness and actual champions. The trio of Terry, KG and Pierce are champs so they will be fine and BK will win a title this year. 🙂 🙂
