2014 NBA Coaching Changes

The 2014 NBA season will be very different for several teams’ benches, as head coaches are concerned. Multiple clubs have made coaching changes due to poor performances during the playoffs, regular season or due to contract issues.

Coaching Moves:

Atlanta Hawks: New coach Mike Budenholzer, old coach Larry Drew

Brooklyn Nets: New coach Jason Kidd, old coach P.J. Carlesimo

Denver Nuggests: New coach Brian Shaw, old coach George Karl

Detroit Pistons: New coach Maurice Cheeks, old coach Lawrence Frank

Charlotte Bobcats: New coach Steve Clifford, old coach Mike Dunlap

Cleveland Cavaliers: New coach Mike Brown, old coach Byron Scott

Milwaukee Bucks: New coach Larry Drew, old coach Jim Boylan

Los Angeles Clippers: New coach Doc Rivers, old coach Vinny Del Negro

Sacramento Kings: New coach Mike Malone, old coach Keith Smart

Phoenix Suns: New coach Jeff Hornacek, old coach Lindsey Hunter

The Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and Memphis Grizzlies are in search of a new head coach. Some names that could be ideal candidates include George Carl, Bryon Scott, Vinny Del Negro, Doug Collins, P J Carlesimo and Lionel Hollins. I expect to see the Sixers add Carl, Memphis bring Scott aboard and Boston come to terms with Hollins.
