Los Angeles Clippers end Doc Rivers hunt

The Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Clippers have officially ended trade discussions concerning head coach Doc Rivers.

According to reports, the trade talks between the two teams ended and started up again. In recent discussions, the Clippers were reluctant to include point guard Eric Bledsoe in a deal that would include Celtics power forward Kevin Garnett, and head coach Doc Rivers.

Other proposals included the Clippers sending two first round picks and forward DeAndre Jordan to the Celtics in exchange for head coach Doc Rivers and Garnett.

Being that was the case the Clippers had already balked at sending Bledsoe and would not send Jordan and the picks so until further notice the deal is dead. Boston though still has decisions in regards to Paul Pierce’s contract, Rivers commitment to the coach next season and on possibly moving Garnett.

Los Angeles meanwhile will conduct second interviews with both Byran Scott (former Nets and Cavaliers head coach) and Brian Shaw, most recently an assistant with the Indiana Pacers.
