My Final 2012 NFL Mock Draft

With the draft later today, all the predictions and mock drafts will either be proven true or broken apart. This is my last mock draft until next year. All potential trades will be included as well.

Draft Order:

Colts- Andrew Luck, QB- No change because they want to go with what the experts call the “safe pick”

Redskins (From Rams)-Robert Griffin III, QB- Same pick, RG3 gives Washington a potential superstar, but alas we can only wait and see.

Chiefs (From Vikings)-Ryan Tannehill, QB- Kansas City still has no faith in Matt Cassel, now they move up to pick up a questionable quarterback in Tannehill.

Browns-Trent Richardson, RB- Same pick, They could use Justin Blackmon here but adding Richardson means they can always trade up to pick up a receiver.

Buccaneers-Morris Claiborne, CB- Tampa can’t get Richardson, but thanks to the Chiefs-Vikings trade, they add the top corner in the draft.

Rams (From Redskins)-Justin Blackmon, WR-Same pick, Rams don’t need to trade up or down to get the top WR in the draft and a weapon for Sam Bradford.

Vikings (From Jaguars)- Matt Kalil-OT, Minnesota trades down twice and still picks up a huge need in Kalil who can protect Christian Ponder.

Dolphins-Brandon Weeden, QB- Miami was basically forced into this pick and despite Weeden’s age he can play football.

Panthers-Quinton Coples, DE-Despite questions regarding Coples, Carolina still picks him because they see possibly another Julius Peppers.

Bills-Harrison Smith, S-While Buffalo could use an offensive tackle, they instead add another player towards the defensive side of the ball.

Jaguars (From Vikings through Chiefs)-Michael Flyod, WR- Jacksonville wants and needs weapons; Floyd is a physical receiver with size, giving Blaine Gabbert a new toy.

Seahawks-Stephon Gilmore, CB- Seattle could use the pick on some other spots, but corner is a need especially with Larry Fitzgerald and Justin Blackmon in the division.

Cardinals-David DeCastro, OG-Same Pick, A surprise pick, but it is a needed one because the Cards offensive line isn’t the strongest in the league and this pick helps it.

Cowboys-Courtney Upshaw, DE/OLB-Upshaw reportedly received a lot of interest from the Cowboys well now he is a member of America’s Team.

Eagles-Janoris Jenkins, CB-With the recent trade of Asante Samuel to the Falcons, corner is a need so they bring in Jenkins.

Jets-Mark Barron, S- New York got lucky with this one, but knowing the Jets they could trade back into the first round to nab another need.

Bengals (From Raiders)-Dre Kirkpatrick, CB-Same Pick, The Bengals do pick a player for their secondary, but this one is a big need especially with the Mike Wallace (Steelers) and Anquan Boldin (Ravens) in the division.

Chargers-Jonathan Martin, OT- San Diego rebuilds the offensive line with this quality pick.

Bears-Riley Reiff, OT-Chicago could use a weapon such as a WR but adding to a weak offensive line is more important.

Titans- Michael Brockers, DT- Needing some muscle the Titans add a run stuffer to that d-line.

Jets (From Bengals)-Chandler Jones, DE- Gang Green trades back into the first round to add a much needed pass rusher.

Browns (From Falcons)- Alshon Jeffery, WR- Same pick, despite concerns over his weight, Jeffery will be a fine addition to this Cleveland club.

Lions-Stephen Hill, WR-Detroit probably should’ve taken a corner, but like several other teams they could trade back in the first round if they really want a player. Hill gives them another receiver with size that could give corners a hard time.

Steelers-Vinny Curry, DE/OLB-Pittsburgh adds some youth to a veteran defense.

Broncos-Dwayne Allen, TE-Denver selects the first Tight End in the first round to add more weapons for Peyton Manning.

Texans- Nick Perry, DE- Replacing Mario Williams starts with this pick.

Patriots- Peter Konz, C/OT/G-New England needs to replace Matt Light and Konz is that player.

Packers-Harrison Smith, S-Same pick, Needed secondary help, bring in the second ranked safety in the draft.

Ravens-Luke Kuechly, LB-Best Linebacker in the draft, smart pick especially with Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs getting older.

49ers-LaMichael James, RB-Interesting pick but smart pick adding James to a RB core that includes stud Frank Gore and situational Brandon Jacobs.

Patriots-Fletcher Cox, DT-One of the top ranked tackles in the draft finally gets selected to a team that needs a pass rush.

Giants-Jayron Hosley, CB-Big Blue could’ve taken a RB or TE but felt they could get one in either the 2nd or 3rd rounds, so they add one of the top corners.
